Masterspec Small Project vs. BSD speclink

My firm is trying to decide between Masterpec Small Project and BSD
speclink for commercial master specifications. Does anyone have
experience with these applications, and is there a consensus as to
which one is better?

When I researched these for my employer several years back, I came to these conclusions:

Masterspec offers significant research help for Architects without specifications experience.
This research can, however, lead the Architect astray if he has not verified its validity for
his current projet.

Generally, BSD Speclink is a preferred tool for the experienced specifier who has researched the
product attributes or who has had performance specifying experience.

The A/E firm's practice was primarily institutional and commercial.

We just purchased BSD. Cost was a factor, but what really "sealed" it
was the "additive" vs. "subtractive" nature of the system. Master Spec
has a few other advantages, like providing everything as a text
document, so it's "good forever" (something you can force with BSD, if
you really want to).

We also use BSD here at the office, and it was learned pretty quickly by
someone here without too much computer experience. The BSD people were very
helpful by phone in answering his questions and getting him going with the
program pretty easily.
